Key Stage 2 Workshops

The workshop starts with our facilitator leading a brief discussion about bullying and agreeing on a definition of what bullying is (and isn’t).  We take our definition from the Anti-Bullying Alliance of which we are core members.

The second part of this workshop involves our facilitator teaching your class some tools and techniques to tackle bullying if it happens to them or their friends. If your school has any specific reporting mechanisms we can include your reporting process in this part of the workshop.

The third section of this workshop is focused on all the children in your class taking part in drama role-play. Our facilitators are performing arts trained with teaching experience. They will split the class into groups of 5-6 and present each group with a role-play exercise based on the anti-bullying topic chosen. Every child in the class will take part. There is no pressure to deliver a big performance and our facilitators are used to working with both shy and confident children. Each group will present a scene from the role-play. The story in the role-play is designed to re-enforce the messages from the group discussion about bullying and to try out – in a safe environment – the tools and techniques presented by our facilitator to tackle bullying if it happens.

After the workshop our facilitator will give you access to post workshop lesson plans that you can use in your own time with your class to further develop the topics discussed as part of the workshop.
